Cancelling your subscription
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term: your subscription, and your full access, continue until then. Because we never charge you automatically (§5), a subscription you do not renew simply ends at the end of its term.
- How to cancel. Email us at support@simplexnow.com. Your subscription ends at the end of your current paid term, and your full access continues until then.
- Nothing is owed for a term that does not start. If you cancel before your next term begins, you do not pay for it.
Refunds
-
We do not refund the unused part of a term when you cancel. You keep full access until the term ends.
-
In exceptional cases — a duplicate payment, a service failure we have confirmed, or at our discretion — we may refund all or part of a payment. We do so by issuing a credit note and refunding the amount.
-
Refunds are made only to the original method of payment — to the bank account, card or other payment method the payment came from. There are two exceptions:
- a payment made in cash is refunded in cash, against a receipt you sign;
- if the bank account a payment came from has since closed, we refund to another account in the same company's name, on your written request with proof that the original account has closed and that the new account is in the company's name.
Otherwise we do not refund to a different account or by a different method.
Exchanges and plan changes
SimpleX is a digital subscription, so there is nothing to exchange or return, and we do not offer exchanges. If your needs change, change your plan instead:
- More users. You can add licences at any time. You pay the difference for the rest of your current term, pro rata.
- Fewer users. Removing licences takes effect from your next renewal. The current term is not refunded.
- Monthly or annual. You can ask us to switch between monthly and annual billing. The switch takes effect from your next renewal; the current term is not pro-rated or refunded.
To change your plan, contact support (§8).
If we end your subscription
We may terminate for material breach of these terms, or where required by law. Except for serious breach or a legal requirement, we will give you notice and a reasonable chance to put it right first. Non-payment is not a ground for suspension or termination — an unpaid account may become view-only (§6).
When your subscription ends
Whether it ends by cancellation, by not renewing, or at the end of a trial you did not convert:
- your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in, see your records and export them, with no time limit;
- we keep your data until you ask us to delete it. When you do, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it — except accounting records that Bahraini law requires us to keep, which we retain for ten years and then delete;
- fees for your subscription up to the day it ends remain payable; nothing is owed for a term that does not start;
- the sections that are meant to survive do survive: liability, confidentiality, and governing law.
